In 1985, Rick Wolters left the corporate world in order to pursue remodeling and repair work in homes in the Hugoton, KS, area. Since then, Wolters Construction has built 20+ homes, completed numerous remodeling jobs, constructed many commercial/metal buildings, and recently completed a top-of-the-line triplex in Sublette, KS. They have worked with Minneola Housing Authority to build additional housing in that area. They built a grocery store & car wash for White's in Medicine Lodge, KS.

In 2021, Rick & Cathy sold the business to their son & his wife, Nate & Jill. Together, with their children, and other employees, they continue the tradition of quality upon which Wolters Construction, LLC has built it's business.
